This benefit is for employees in the US.

Eligibility

All employees working 30 or more hours per week are eligible to enroll in accident insurance immediately upon starting with thoughtbot. Your effective date is your start date.

Accident Insurance

You can enroll yourself or your family in Accident Insurance through Principal. Accident Insurance pays you an up-front, lump-sum benefit when you have a covered injury. Covered injuries include concussion, fracture, dislocation and more. The benefit you receive can be used however you wish: deductibles, childcare, anything.

Termination

Your accident insurance will terminate at midnight on your last day of employment.
