Latinx Artist & Designer with an undying love for art, tinkering, and the human condition.
Eebs is a developer who loves solving challenging problems. He has a passion for clean, easily maintainable code and simple design. He strives to continually learn new things and help others learn when he can. When not at work he enjoys biking, running, and gaming.
Stephen is a designer focusing on user experience and iterative process. He has a multidisciplinary background including fine art, game development, and interaction design, and holds a Bachelor's of Art and Design from the NCSU College of Design.
An iOS developer by trade, Louis came to thoughtbot from Ticketmaster, where he led a team of iOS and Android developers working on Ticketmaster's mobile applications. Louis likes gaming and camping (in tents, not in games). He's also a foodie, a chef, a musician, and a skier.
A full stack Ruby/Elixir dev and NCSU grad, Justin spends his time exploring new technologies (web and otherwise), gardening, and cycling around Raleigh.
Emily Bahna is a Managing Director of thoughtbot in Raleigh, which she joined in July 2017. She is also a regular coach and advisor to NC Idea Labs, an accelerator program for early stage startups. Her background is in art direction, interactive design, information architecture, and user experience strategy. Before joining thoughtbot, she worked for Digitas, Pixel Press (a Human Rights Digital Magazine), Duke University, Centerline Digital, and she was also founder of UX-Shop (a user-centered design consultancy). She has worked on projects for Seagrams, American Express, UNICEF, GE Oil & Gas, IBM, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, RTI International, North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, The East Coast Greenway, among many other clients, large and small, for profit and not-for-profit. Emily is originally from New York City. and moved to Durham NC in 2004. She has been designing and consulting with clients on web and applications solutions since 1999. She holds a B.A. from Rutgers and a Graphic Design degree from Parsons School of Design.
