EuRuKo, the largest and longest running annual Ruby conference in Europe, is coming to the beautiful coastal city of Viana do Castelo, Portugal! This year’s edition will bring together Rubyists from Europe and around the world.
We’re excited to attend, and to host a “Friends of thoughtbot” meetup on Friday after the day’s events. We hope you’ll stop by! Find us at Jardim da Marina between 6:00 and 7:30 PM, just a few meters from the conference venue. RSVP and come by!
This year I’m working as a volunteer at the conference and my teammates Rémy Hannequin and Fritz Meissner are preparing a talk and a workshop.
Come see their talks or reach out if you see them (or other thoughtbotters) in the hallway. Here’s a sneak peak of their activities:
Rémy will present a talk about the value of niche open-source project. If you ever struggled with making progress on side projects, or are interested in open-source, then this will be for you.
Fritz will be presenting a workshop on how to make the code you work with easy to understand and change. This is refactoring, but you don’t need to have heard that word before in order to learn these important lessons.
