thoughtbot is a certified Prismic partner

thoughtbot has been a fan of Prismic for quite some time, and have experienced their benefits firsthand by using Prismic to manage our own website. We even did a workshop about our experience a few years back. Prismic provides a headless CMS builder that enables teams to build websites though a common concept, a shared library of Slices.

We faced the same challenges lots of companies face - the pain point of wanting to align our website with our brand standards, while making it easy and efficient for the Marketing team, or non-technical team members to manage changes. Nothing is worse than having to wait to update critical content — or even fix a typo — and begging to steal developer time. Last year we launched unified navigation across our blog and thoughtbot.com and are now in the process of refreshing our site with new branding elements. In 2025 we look forward to continued updates and have goals tied to design improvements and content optimization. The Prismic experience continues to be a great fit, allowing more of our team to jump in and help, while having the flexibility for custom elements if needed. We often work with clients to update their websites to better support their evolving business or showcase the new technology venture we’ve teamed up on. We review CMS options and come back to Prismic again and again, which led us to formalizing our Prismic relationship via their Certification Program.

In working through this process with Prismic, they were excited about thoughtbot’s ability to handle:

• Complex websites (multi-instance, many locales, 1+ integrations including Shopify and Salesforce, development expertise for both web/mobile components)
• Support client coaching and mentoring in parallel with website work

We’ve completed the certification and our agency page is live. We look forward to teaming up to support their current clients, and help educate potential clients on the benefits of using Prismic on their own site, and then being the implementation partner to bring it to life.
