We are now accepting applications from candidates based in Europe, West Asia and Africa for two Apprenticeship roles. These positions will start in late March 2023. The application deadline is 11 January 2023.
We’re a fully-remote company. These are remote, full-time positions with salary and full benefits. We are looking for teammates who overlap with our clients’ working hours. This position is available to anyone in Europe, West Asia, and Africa (UTC-2 through UTC+3).
We currently don’t have Apprenticeships available in the Americas (UTC-3 through UTC-10), but if you are a Rails Developer in that region, you’ll want to check out the Junior Rails Engineer position at our client, Prolegis. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside us and learn.
The application and selection timeline is as follows:
- The deadline for Apprenticeships starting in March 2023 is 11 January 2023. We will be reviewing applications on that date.
- We will notify you of the status of your application on or before 21 January.
- We will complete all initial interviews by 27 January.
- We will complete all second interviews by 10 February.
- We will complete all final stage interviews by 27 February.
- Final decisions by 10 March.
If joining us as an Apprentice interests you, but starting in March 2022 doesn’t work for you. You can sign up for notifications of future Apprenticeships via our mailing list. We only use this mailing for Apprentice positions or mentorship-related opportunities at thoughtbot.
What is our Apprenticeship program?
Apprenticeship is our position for people early in their careers. It provides structured support and mentorship to get them promoted to a billable Designer or Ruby on Rails Developer at thoughtbot. It is ideal for intermediate levels looking to build upon a strong foundation. You can read much more about how it works in our Playbook.
We are about to enter our 12th year of Apprenticeships at thoughtbot. The Apprenticeship is a fantastic program we have for building our team. It has been very successful since our first apprentices in 2011. We have had well over 50 apprentices since then.
