same feature, so we''re retiring the service.

In March of 2017 we launched [Tell Me When It Closes (TMWIC)](https://tellmewhenitcloses.com), a free service
to receive a single email notification when a GitHub Pull Request was closed, without having to subscribe to the entire pull request activity, including all comments.

Since then, GitHub has directly added the feature TMWIC provides. Here's how the GitHub feature works:

![Subscribing via GitHub](https://images.thoughtbot.com/blog-vellum-image-uploads/9u80melWRMupNlSX2v5t_Screenshot%202022-06-09%20at%2007.42.10.png)

1. Click "Customize" under Notifications on any Pull Request
2. Select the settings for when you want to be notified, either Closed, Merged, or both.

As a result of this functionality now being built directly into GitHub, we'll be turning Tell Me When It Closes off on July 29th, 2022.

Thank you to all the thoughtbot team members who worked on TMWIC over the years, and thank you for using the service!
