The thoughtbot Shopify store runs on [Printful](https://printful.com), a print-on-demand (POD) fulfillment platform. Items are produced and shipped from the location best equipped to handle your order - often the one closest to your delivery address.

This approach:

- Removes the need for pre-printed inventory, while giving us access to a broader range of sizes and colors.
- Helps mitigate some of the increasingly unpredictable costs of international shipping and tariffs.
- Makes it easier for you to order what you like, when you like.
- Allows us to iterate, experiment, and learn as we go.
